2008 OlympiClock

The design of this Widget is a replica of the giant countdown clock on display in Tiananmen Square, at the very heart of the Chinese capital in Beijing. The clock displays the time left until the opening ceremony of the Games of the XXIX Olympiad, on 2008 August 8.

Yes, it does seem rather early to countdown, but the original clock in Beijing started on September 22, 2004, with 1417 days (or nearly 4 years). Needless to say, the country is really excited to host the Games. I also agree that Less Sword should find another venue for making political commentaries.

Not bad, but seems a little bit early. 883 days to go, maybe Windows Vista will release its SP2 before that...

This clock may seem odd to foriegners, but Chinese people have been counting down to the Olympics for 4 years now. The last countdown this big was the return of Hong Kong.
