abbeymail

A simple POP3 email checker, this Widget will check a single POP3 mailbox and show new and old message counts. Double clicking will run your selected email program and clear the "New" count. Small, simple, does the job.

Requires Yahoo Widget Engine 3.1 or later.

Great Widget but i agree with other posts,a notification sound would make it even better.

Hey all I cant seem to get this to work, I dont know where or how to find the Pop3 Server or what it means by "e-mail application" in options, would that just be a link to internet explorer?? This is irritating because ive never ben able to make it work for hotmail.... could someone help?? thanks

I agree, Rob. If it would just play a sound when you get email, it'd be perfect! For now, I guess I'll stick with POPTray.

If you could just add the option to play a sound file when new mail arrives, and to display a label of which account it represents, this Widget would be perfect.

As well, the ability to customize size and colour would be appreciated.

You can copy abbeymail.widget to abbeymail2.widget or whatever and configure and run one for each pop3 server. Works for me.
