A simple POP3 email checker, this Widget will check a single POP3 mailbox and show new and old message counts. Double clicking will run your selected email program and clear the "New" count. Small, simple, does the job.

Except for the last day or so it is incorrectly reporting how much email I have by 3.
That is, if I have no email, it say s I have 3. If I have 3 emails, it says 5.
I'm running multiple instances of the widget for different email accounts and it is doin it to all of them by 3.

November 16, 2007 · version 1.5For those running into the Firefox "URL is invalid" error message, I figured out a work around.
In the Abbeymail configuration, under the 'Email Web Page:' section, put '#closeWindow()' (without the single quotes). Yeah, its more of a hack, but it gets the job done.
Love this little widget...real handy.
