abbeymail

A simple POP3 email checker, this Widget will check a single POP3 mailbox and show new and old message counts. Double clicking will run your selected email program and clear the "New" count. Small, simple, does the job.

Requires Yahoo Widget Engine 3.1 or later.

What a nice widgets!!

But I found a problem.

If Port of POP3 isn't by defualt (110) . It won't work.
So I thank it may add a option for choosing Port.

Is it possible to play sound only 1 time when new mail arrives? now that play sound every minute (my account check interval) if i didnt read the messages. its uncomfortable :(

Still having problems with old mail counter not resetting. Also i can't seem to find an option to change the color... Your showing green at the top of this page but i can only get black... Can anyone help me???

Nice-looking, but difficult to diagnose when things go wrong. I've tried it with two POP accounts so far (neither require SSL), and it merely freezes for a minute before continuing to display question marks. Some sort of debug data (or at least a log file) would be appreciated. Currently, I cannot get it to work with Road Runner's pop service (even though Outlook and Thunderbird have no problem).
