Adium Friend

The sister Widget of iChat friend which changes your icon to the album artwork and your away message to the song and artist. It gets its information from iTunes and plops it right into Adium.

[Editor's Note] This Widget has no interface (it runs in the background), so to close it, hold down the Control key as you select it from the Gear Menu.

I agree with smajor--I would like to be able to customize the listing.
Mostly I want to get rid of the "I'm Listening to" string.
Otherwise it's a good little widget though. Doesn't space out and need a restart when the computer goes to sleep, like iChat Friend does.

I take back what I said in my previous comment -- it DOES get confused whenever my screensaver comes on and it takes a restart to get the cover art updating again.

And I still hate the "I'm listening to" string!

The low rating is because the TIFF caching bug desperately needs to be fixed. On a 40 GB Mac Mini my ~/Library/Caches/Adium/Default folder can balloon to 10 GB because of all the TIFF album art that this plugin generates.

NAME: The avatar should change automatically...i'm not sure why yours isn't.

mainstreetmark: it doesn't do that on my computer, nor anyone elses. I'll look into the problem.

There are only default preferences so I am getting no album art and no way to change avatar preferences. am i missing something?
