Atomic Clock
Atomic clock is a digital clock made of pixels which animate to give the effect of the digits morphing into one another. It is highly customisable, allowing you to select various background and pixel styles and colours and choose which elements of the display are visible, and in response to popular demand it is now resizable.
The design was inspired by an open-source experimental Flash file from the incredible bit-101.com.

If you turn off the seconds display you will see a massive drop in CPU usage. I agree, processor usage is steep with the seconds on but unfortunately there's absolutely nothing I can do about it. I've spent literally ages optimising the code for this widget, Konfabulator just uses a lot of power to do complex animations. It's actually much worse on the Mac platform.

September 04, 2005 · version 1.2.0 englitmajorUses way way way too much cpu time. My system idle without this widget runs at about 2-4% cpu usage, system with this widget running is between 12-20% on a single widget. That's just insane for a widget.
I like the clock, I like it's functions, I hate it's performance.
