Atomic Clock

by William Warby

Atomic clock is a digital clock made of pixels which animate to give the effect of the digits morphing into one another. It is highly customisable, allowing you to select various background and pixel styles and colours and choose which elements of the display are visible, and in response to popular demand it is now resizable.

The design was inspired by an open-source experimental Flash file from the incredible bit-101.com.

NOTE:
If you like this Widget check out Atomic Timer too; it's a highly customizable countdown / count up timer based on this design.

This is a great clock! I love the animation! I like the seconds. I agree that is part of the charm. Thanks for the smaller size. I can't wait until the next version!

    db,
Thank you for pointing this out - you are absolutely right, this is a bug and I will fix it immediately along with the other things people have reported and the AM/PM indicator. 1.1.1 coming soon.

    Bob,
I think db is right here. I would have no way to account for the delay in actually getting a page of information from an atomic clock site and setting the offset against the system clock so it wouldn't give you the accuracy you would expect from a real atomic clock. You'd be much better off just using time synchronisation on your system clock.

thx for making it resizeable! its great. just one issue now: i get a '0' (zero) instead of 12 for 12pm. yes, PM, and it's not in 24hr mode (nor is it midnight).

Bob, wouldn't you rather sync your system clock with an atomic clock? there are many apps out there that do that. i use tclock light (http://homepage1.nifty.com/kazubon/ -- site's in japanese, but don't fear) in windows.

I like this clock! Only small criticism is that the upper reflection is a little bright, otherwise great.
