You can do exactly that. Set the target date to 6pm today and set the timer reset period to "Daily". Alternatively you can choose "Daily (Weekdays Only)" to do the same but on Friday it sets to 6pm the following Monday. There's even a theme on the theme browser site called "The Working Day" which automatically sets the time up that way except it's for 5pm.

November 09, 2005 · version 1.0.0 DanGreat widget. Would be nice if you could specify a daily target time. For example, I could specify 6pm for the target time every day (when I can go home from work ;)). Then when it hits 6pm, the target time automatically changes to the same time, but the next day.

November 09, 2005 · version 1.0.0 WilliamThanks Ricky, although it's not entirely bug free because I just found a couple of minor bugs whilst making a theme for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire ;)
I'll won't submit version 1.0.1 right away though because I want to see if anyone else spots anything which needs changing.
