Battery Time

Battery Time is an incredibly full featured battery Widget that sports a simple and attractive design. This Widget has intelligent defaults for the casual user and a tremendous amount of customizability for the power user. Battery Time automatically responds to changes in the computer's power source and loads one of four profiles for each battery state.

I'd just bought a new laptop with Vista and couldn't understand why no audible alerts on battery low. Took Packard Bell 4 days to discover that wonderful MS had removed the facility (not the option!). Hunting around for a replacement I found this top notch widget. It works just the way I want, sits parked in the corner visibly ticking away the time (so much better than having too mouse over to see it) and pops a highly visible alert right in the middle of the screen when I need to plug in. Well done!
