thank you for writing this. I love it. I currently have a wallpaper of the Palace of Westminster with your clock seamlessly sat on the clock tower. Brilliant!
One small suggestion. It doesn't seem to do an auto-update if my machine has been hibernating and so a call to onWakeFromSleep would be good. Here's the bit in one of my widgets:

I have now changed my desktop wallpaper to a photograph of the Palace of Westminster and have your widget sitting in the correct place on the clock tower. With a little Photoshop work on the wallpaper's colour temperature it's now indistinguishable from the background. My wife says I'm mad. I think I'm just misunderstood.

Gary, thanks for the response. The widget is not hidden by the dock. I have tried hiding the widget then turning it back on - still no image. When the dock shows it is visible the chimes do work.
It sounds like the widget has been hidden by the Widget Dock. Find the Icon for Big Ben on the Widget Dock, right click and select "Show Widget". It should re-appear.
