After the iconic image of Big Ben appears, right-click on it, select widget preferances, and put in your time zone relative to GMT, using a + or - sign depending on your zone, and you are set to go! The classic Big Ben chimes are awesome, and the clock on the faces of Big Ben actually works, changing by the minute. One can set it to chime on 15 min intervals. Perhaps a box can be added to account for DST, but I know that gets complicated as those changeover dates vary around the world. Double-click on the image and you get the time spoken. Great job, Gary!
I can't seem to get it to sound for any of the increments I can chhose from nor can I get a sound when I double click it. I've tried all kinds of different choices and nothing. I've re-installed it and still no sounds. The computer makes other sounds just find. Otherwise it's a nice feature to see it keep time.
I'm in love with this widget, it's truly wonderful. Big Ben is truly a wonderful landmark, and to have it in the comfort of your own home is great! I downloaded this widget at 11:53 and i sat waiting in anticipation for te 12:00 chimes! It was worth the wait! It's nice having the chimes of a grandfather clock but the chimes of big ben is a great change! Seeing the tower darken and the clock faces illuminate was brilliant. This widget truly deserves 10/10. It's top notch! It's… a must have!!!
As much as i love this widget, i would like to give a friendly suggestion. It would be nice to have an option, 'Full illumination', where the whole tower, including the clocks light up, with that lovely green glow coming out of the belfry. Also you could have another option, 'Lantern on'. The lantern lit at the top of the tower at night indicates when parliament are in session. And the illumination that you have already added could be called 'only clock illumination'
