austencollins: CallWave Visual Voicemail does require that you forward your number so that you can receive the service. However, most mobile carriers provide free call forwarding. The major exception in the United States is Sprint.
In order to not be charged as a Sprint customer, or for other wireless carriers that do not provide free call forwarding, you should call your carrier and ask them to configure the following three forwarding conditions to: 775-665-1234
- Busy Call Forwarding (Busy …Call Transfer)
- No Answer Call Forwarding (No Reply Forwarding)
- Unreachable Call Forwarding (Phone Off Forwarding)

As far as being charged minutes while someone is leaving you a message, even with your standard voicemail you are charged minMore
hey Callwave, I have recently updated to the new version (1.2) and the callerID info disappears whenever I play a message. Sometimes it doesn't even appear at all. To correct (temporarily) I have to close the widget and reopen it. I have discarded file and redownloaded several times with no success. Is this a known issue on certain systems?? Thanks for the help! I am enjoying the product immensely!
