Celestial Earth Clock

by Max

This Widget shows the position of the Sun and the Moon on a changing Earth backdrop. The Earth images from NASA change every month showing snowy areas as the winter approaches the Northern Hemisphere. The Sun position is calculated from the time of year and the Moon position has been carefully calculated and should be within a degree of its actual position. If people are interested, I may add the ISS location in a future version.

    Probleme

The position of the moon is not exact.

For example, at 17:18 pm UTC in Saturday 7 march 2008, the widget indicates that the position of the moon was in opposition with the sun. It's faulse. The two luminars were in conjonction, normaly.

Secundly, why the orbit of the moon is decaleted constantly with the draw of the ecliptic, Twice a month, the orbit of the moon crosses the draw of the ecliptic. It's another error.

Damage ! It would be fun without this two defaults.

    Best regards
