Chinese New Year Countdown

A countdown clock to the next Chinese New Year, which follows the lunar calendar. There are 12 animal years in the Chinese Zodiac, It is currently Year of the Dog. 2007 is Year of the Pig. Too bad it is not an election year, however, 2008 is the Year of the Rat.

Niteangel: SRFred may be a problem child. But bashing him, calling him ignorant, and telling him to shut up brings shame on you and the widget's author. The Japanese do follow the Chinese New Year in their own tradition. Saying that the animal character must only be written in Chinese is like saying the Chinese must always write Merry Christmas with the Latin alphabet. If you have a problem with Japan, this is not the place for it.

SRFred is clearly ignorant about Chinese and their characters. If you are not Chinese and if you are not familar with Chinese, you should just shut up. I appreciate the changes by the author in this widget, and listening is clearly a quality what a good design should have.
