Chinese New Year Countdown

A countdown clock to the next Chinese New Year, which follows the lunar calendar. There are 12 animal years in the Chinese Zodiac, It is currently Year of the Dog. 2007 is Year of the Pig. Too bad it is not an election year, however, 2008 is the Year of the Rat.

March 23, 2006 · version 1.0 niteangelToo bad about the language, that is not Chinese. That's Japanese, and Japanese doesn't have such a sense about animal zodiac. It is not China after all.
If you are so eagar to make a calendar based on Chinese Zodiac signs, you should have researched on Chinese more intensive. To Chinese like me (I am from HK), this is just an improper design, or even an insult.

March 22, 2006 · version 1.0 wrdSRFred obviously doesn't know too much about Chinese and Japanese. This big red character does exist in both Chinese and Japanese. However, it means "pig" only in Japanese, but not in Chinese (at least modern Chinese). Using a Japanese character to represent the Chinese New Year is so ridiculous.
