This Widget will show you the amount of physical RAM you have in use. You can get more detailed information in a tooltip, and change the colors to whatever you want.
But as far as accessing that information from the command line or via AppleScript? Konfabulator doesn't have a call for that information built in. If you can't access the info from the command line or via AppleScripting, it can't be done without an external Mach executable, and I don't know how to write those.

i like this whole series and have a request, i have never seen a widget that reports the current battery status of the bluetooth wireless mouse and keyboard from apple, and i think a matching one would be a hit. a way to access the status is in system prefferences under keyboard and mouse, then the bluetooth panel thing has a bar for the keyboard and mouse.

Simple and effective. Scalability would be nice.

On my machine, I am using 689MB out of 1GB right now according to top, activity monitor, or the FreeMemory widget. If I mouse over your widget, it tells me I have 689MB FREE. That is backwards.

It shows you how much RAM is in use, not how much RAM is free.
