Countdown To/From:

This Widget will countdown from a date the user inputs. It can also be used in the reversed manner, so that instead of counting down from a date, it will count up. Skins are included, along with many other aspects that can be customized.

Note: If you change the size of the fonts using the clear skin, also change the size of the Widget accordingly.

Finally a countdown that works! I'd give more stars if I would have been able to increase the fontsize. I want a large countdown on my screen to inform my coworkers of the next pending deadline.
