This Widget is based on Dominic Jones' excellently simple drumstab Widget, which gets constant use in my office full of nuts. This is the companion Widget which should be used if someone says something that's just not funny enough to merit the drumstab. Thanks to Dominic as well as Wikipedia for the Creative Commons-licensed cricket image.

November 15, 2007 · version 2 thynctankBefore I go updating the widget here at YW (now that the kind folks at the helpdesk have updated my account login info for me!) can you give me any further information as to your setup so I can try and reproduce it?
I've had no trouble installing it on Mac or PC under Widgets 4.0.x. Are you possibly running an outdated version?

November 15, 2007 · version 2 thynctankWell, I've released a new version of CricketChirp with resizing capabilities and a brand-spankin' new dock icon. (as opposed to the generic widget icon it had before) However, I've lost my developer login at the Gallery and Yahoo! have not gotten me my temporary password. (perhaps I should blame MS for a Hotmail bungle)
Regardless, until Yahoo! works with/for me, the new version of the widget is available for download linked from the post http://www.thynctank.com/widgets/cricket-widget-update

November 15, 2007 · version 2 thynctankThanks for the comments, guys! I guess it is a bit big. (I'm spoiled with the high res of my relatively-small-screen MacBook and the huge screen+high res of my 17" PC laptop so I don't think of these things)
Will look into adding a size preference dialog with at least 2 sizes.
Glad you got it working Tony! My wife hates getting the cricket. Consider offering her the occasional drumstab as well - search the Widget Gallery for it if you don't have it already - hulmem I know you have it!
