the answer to this question is number 4. You always but a cap and booties on a new born before giving it to it's mother. I have thousands of babies in my back ground. I have been a labor room tech for 10 years and have numerous deliveries under my belt. Nomal birthing, water birthing, or c-sections. The reason they put a cap and booties on the new born is to help stable the babies temp.
My very favorite out of the 3 ways to birth babies is the water birthing. The room is kept warm, unless y…ou wind up in the O.R. for a stat, and lighting is kept low, as to keep trama of being born down. Their little eye's squint because the room is bright, the O.R. is kept cold to keep the germs down, but the new mom and new baby are wrapped im a heated blanket. I could go on and on, i loved my career!!!More
