DailyStrips

This Widget retrieves and views a number of cartoons available on the web.
Its a port of an app that I wrote that was, in turn, based off the original DailyStrips perl script, so should support most of the cartons used by the original script.
Cartoons can be cached (by default C:/cartoons - but can be changed in preferences).

dragonbabyThis used to be my absolute favorite widget of all time. I've used it for years and just couldn't wake up without downloading all my favorite strips. But over the last year, my strips are slowly disappearing and this widget has become almost useless. Granted, some strips simply don't exist anymore, but most of them still do. This widget cannot adapt over time and I'm deeply saddened that I'm going to have to give it up. Any chance of an upgrade anytime soon to repair the broken links? Pretty please?

November 15, 2007 · version 1.4 samI've used this for awhile and I love the widget, but it has started doing something strange.
It didn't appear to be retrieving the comics anymore, but then I noticed a bunch of comic files in the recycle bin. Apparently they are being retrieved, but being deleted.

November 15, 2007 · version 1.4 GeorgeI'm sure at one time this was a pretty cool widget, but it does not appear to be working any more. I tried changing the preferences to ignore the cache and always pull from the web, but still no luck.
