The Mavs have a new coach. Let him see what he can do with the players we have. Adding another problem will not help the situation. Howard is probably still a salvagable player and if he improves he will be excellent, if not trade him by Christmas if possible. I'm not up on the business side of basketball, all I do is coach.

what the bleep are the mavs thinking about Ron artest for josh is a good trade. true artest is a quote on quote bad guy but if you ask me that is what they need.I am a big mavs fan an i like josh howard but the things that made me love his game he no longer does.like taking the ball to the rim being aggressive on the boards now all he likes to do is shoot jumpers. Artest gives the toughness we need a post game that we don't have an we no about his D. Look all i'm saying is Artest brings more to the table.So do the bleeping trade. Just my bleeping thoughts.

we got a new coach which i think was a must cuz basically all the players stop listening to him-why? seems like everytime someone says pay "D" no one wants to listen. i say get rid of everybody except Dirk n bass start over cuz right now we cant even get out of the first round of the playoffs.so why even go to the playoffs f you cant get deep in the playoffs-then learn to win it. the kidd trade set us bac for years n howard seems like he wants out of dallas so trade him. you got no cho…ice. we need a low post player bad--so get one--zack might be the only low post player we can get cuz ny wants him out. i say try to get a player that will no back down from nobody lik steven jackson pair up zack dirk jackson.we did a disservice to kidd cuz we hav noone who can run wit him if we cant move kidd then get some runners lik marion, cory meg., we can even use a energy player lik noah who is not a good fit in bulls land. . play dirk at the 5 . he is better off guardin c instead of pf . not as many great c as pf in the west. i luv my mavs but da last 2 playoff have all the true mavs fans pullin at straws bout wat to do. we might disagree wit wat plyers to get but the one thing we all know is CANT WIN WIT WAT WE GOT NOW--SO GOT DO SOMETHING!!!!!! Ok, for next season many changes are going to be made. The coaching change was a must and has already been completed, with Carlisle now running the show. I have no idea how Avery went from protege to Isiah in less than 2 seasons but it happened. Next, comes the roster and this is where it gets tricky. I still feel that Dirk will be with the team because he is too good and exactly what are you going to get in his return that would immediately make you better. His trade value after the last 2… playoff disasters is probably as low as ever, even though he's an All-Pro. So we can count him in. Kidd's contract is too high and no team is really desiring him either after seeing him get schooled by Paul so bad. So count Kidd in as well. I feel that Bass and Terry will be around because they actually came to play against the Hornets, and Dampier will be there still because the Mavs have no other option at Center. Besides these six players, everyone else is game starting with Josh Howard. He's a good young all-around player but isn't what we need at that position. He came to rely on his jumper WAY to much this season, and isn't taking it to the hole like we need. Calling Maggette, calling Maggette...I think you see where this might be headed. Next Stack, George, and Malik Allen are definitely gone. Stack has definitely gotten older and it showed against N.O., he looked awful... and George and Allen gave us nothing either. Dallas could package some of these players for either draft picks are for a better young player. Many changes are coming and hopefully Carlisle will make it work.
