i think i will remove the single-click and try to get the double-click running without problems.
i have animations in my work-in-progress version.
but the widgets crashes very often with animations.
i want them to be different from Kyle Singletons "Animated Shortcut" ( http://widgets.yahoo.com/gallery/view.php?widget=39175 ).
i want continious animations the whole time while the mouse is over the shortcut.
i have to find a ay to get it running.....

Great job but it consumes a lot of memory, if you could improve this it would the be best widget.

And drag'n'drop doesn't work right. It copy the file when I try to drag'n'drop.

I'm waiting the next release!

Finaly I found the shortcuts customisable I was looking for, great !

I regularly have to reload the whole widget engine after changing the setting which often bring a widget crash. But it's quickly done.
Single clic realy don't works and I have to clic again and again to open the link.
It seems that the double clic works better with a locked position.
But opening of the link is a bit slow.

I use it anyway because it is easy to set several drives and icons...

May be you can bring some clic animations in the next updates ?

i've just uploaded v.0.4.
now it should be possible to add new shortcuts.
i hope its gets the approval sson.

@crappy:
if you dont like it... dont use it.
if you think you can do it better... then go and make a better widget.
oh... and please post a link to your widget here when its online.
i would love to see it ;-p

its true.....
with v.0.3 its not possible to create new shortcuts.
i have 4 shortcuts running with v.0.3., but they already existed when i switched to the new version.
the current wip widgets works as intended.
i will upload it very soon.

@j:
the widget uses the screen.availHeight and screen.availWidth reported by the YWE.
it seems that the widget engine only reports the size of the first screen.
what happens when you drag the widget with pressed ctrl-key?
i have only one monitor running. i will try to get a multimon-setup to test some things to get the widget running on more than one screen.
