Desk Calendar

by Ricky Romero

This 'lil fella will tell you the date and scale to whatever size you want him to be. His header will change to whatever color you please and he can display the current date in 33 languages!

I made the Widget because I always forget what day it is. It's really helped me out!

Mayco Castro: To further help your search through my code, all you need to do is look for "filesystem" in the JavaScript. The filesystem object is what Konfabulator uses for all of its interaction with files on your hard disk or other media (filesystem.delete, filesystem.read, filesystem.write, etc.).

You'll see that I only have a couple of filesystem calls:

Thanks Ricky. I'll check the code. In such an unsecured online world like the one we are living now, it is hard sometime to see what's real and what's a trojan!

I'll come back to review your widget again. Gracias.

    Regarding full filesystem access

Mayco Castro: The reason that the Widget needs filesystem access in the first place is because it is written to open a calendaring program of your choice when you double-click it. It does not do any filesystem modification and it does not read any of your personal data. I need full filesystem access in order to run filesystem.open. It's a stupid "all-or-nothing" approach to sandboxing on Konfabulator's part.

There isn't anything to be concerned about, but you don't More
