Desktop Favourites

Use this Widget to create links to your favourite applications, folders and websites in an organised structure on you desktop.

Create Favourites to launch applications, folders and websites by dragging them onto the Widget
Create your own Headings and Subheadings to enable you to organise your favourites
Reorder the Headings, Subheadings and Favourites by clicking at the end of their bar and dragging
Minimise and maximise the Headings and Subheadings to save space on your desktop
Personalise the colour scheme

I don't have a help file so here are the basics:

Click the right hand side of the Title Bar to open a form which allows you to enter the name for the Heading, click 'ok' and the Heading will be added to the widget.

Now you can either drag and drop a file/folder/url onto the Heading to create a Favourite, or you can right click the Heading and select 'New Sub Heading'. This opens another form that allows you to enter a name, click 'ok' to create the Subheading. You … More

I need help in using the widget. Tried doing preferences but nothing happened. Do you have a help file somewhere? V. 2.3

Still using it, works great. the import export is great. I used it to transfer settings to a coworkers machine. If the import/export was XML I'd have everyone in the office using it.

I haven't had a chance to install this widget yet, but while reading the feedback noticed the IE issue. Try opening Internet Options in the Control Panel, Advanced Tab, Browsing options and UNcheck "Reuse windows for launching shortcuts". It's an individual system option which might be why it's been hard to get a handle on from a programming standpoint.
