I'll hold off on rating this Widget because while I used it for quite some time, the latest update has tanked the Widget. I can no longer click on the text field and enter a word to look up! It worked perfectly up until the update to 2.0.1, at which point I can now no longer type anything into it.
For bug-hunting, I'm running Windows Vista on an AMD Core 2 Duo 4200 (1 Gig of RAM) with a GeForce 6150 video card.
This was a great Widget... I only wish I could use it again!
@aram_kolt: I don't have Windows Vista, so I'm unable to test it specifically on that platform, but this sounds to me like a rather odd issue, so I'm going to ask a few broad questions... Have you tried restarting your computer? Is the Widget set to a Window Level other than "Normal?" Is the "Ignore Mouse" option checked? To view preferences for the Widget, you can click on the round * button over the Widget's icon in the Widget Dock while the Widget is runnin…g, or right-click the Widget and choose "Widget Preferences." Then click on the "Window" button at the top of the Preferences window to see the preferences mentioned above.
Also, just to make sure we're on the same page: to type in the Widget, you need to click on the word "Dictionary," and then you should be able to type. Clicking on the magnifying glass currently does nothing. Does the mouse cursor change to an "I-beam" when your pointer is oMore
The mouse cursor doesn't change to the I-beam. It's basically as if the text field isn't there. Also, all my preferences are correct. It seems that version 2.0.1 doesn't want to play ball with my machine. Version 2.0 worked fine.
I am constantly using the dictionary so this was a very helpful widget. Very nice looking convenient, and unobtrusive.
BTW...
I use 32 bit Vista on a AMD Athlon 64X2 5000+ with 2 gigs of ram and the widget works fine.
