DropDiskImage provides a drop zone for files and folders. When a selection is dropped onto the Widget, a disk image containing the dropped files and folders is created and placed on the user's desktop.

Absolutely love it but it if it was able to make a password protected DMGs and also allow you to name the DMG, it would get 5 stars. It is such a pain in the ass to do with the disk utility preference. Hope they make it easier with Tiger.

Thanks for this useful widget. Once problem I noticed: if you drop a folder called "folder_2.14" onto it, it will create a .dmg called "folder_2.dmg". Would be nice if it could preserve the full original name.
