Earthquakes

The Earthquakes Widget shows a world map with the latest earthquake information from USGS. Earthquakes are shown as circles, with a larger circle indicating a larger earthquake. Quakes within the last day are shown in yellow, those within the last week are shown in green. Right-click (or Ctrl-click on OS X) allows you to zoom in or out and open the USGS earthquake information page for any earthquake. Earthquake information is automatically refreshed about every three hours.

November 16, 2007 · version 1.4 ghewgillThe problem was another minor change on the USGS web site (the URL of the RSS feeds changed). I have uploaded a new version 1.2 and am waiting for Yahoo to approve and post it. I suppose they're pretty busy with the version 4.0 release!

November 16, 2007 · version 1.4 SeikilosHi Greg. Glad you are on the problem. I really love this widget and it has always worked perfectly. There are only three earthquake widgets and by far, this has always been the best one. It really gives an at glance picture. Hope you get it back soon. Cheers

November 16, 2007 · version 1.4 ghewgillHi everybody, thanks for your comments. I'm getting the same load errors with the Earthquakes widget and I'm investigating the problem. As soon as I can diagnose the problem and apply a fix, I'll post a new version.

November 16, 2007 · version 1.4 catrinag2002Hello, I have had no problems with this widget until a couple of days ago when it popped up with my computer turning on and said that is was "unable to load itself successfully". I love this widget. It is on my desktop 24/7. Can you please help me to fix it? I even tried to re download it, in case this was the problem. But it came back saying the same thing. Please help.
