EjectMe!
Per request in the forum, I put together this Widget to place an "eject" button on your desktop. It will open (and if motorized, close) your optical drive. You can name it, set the drive letter, tailor to your liking! Duplicate the .widget file to have more than one on your desktop! To move, hover over edge of widget and drag by the border when it appears.

JojjeIt works great!
For me it's very handy when my PC are located a bit from me an the original button is hard to reach and it dosent work so great anyway. Have to click the original button a couple of times before it reacts.
The widget "EjectMe!" is simple and usefull for me.

MarkoIt's ok but why would I want to open my disc tray from my desktop when I have to reach for the tray anyway if want to put a disc in?

martinmmi'd find this to be perfect eccept ... i see it needs a switch for chooseing between what you want it to open. what drive or dvd and cd , rw or player... i don't know what i'm saying but what i was looking for when i found it..
