I also wonder if it won't have something to do w/ computers... Linux? The little BSD _DEVIL_? Linux time is Epoch time, and starts from Jan 1, 1970, and will end Jan 19, 2038. Yeah.... that's the ticket!

Chris, I figured out how to post just fine... but the input limit is too low. My cup runneth over.
Manuel, add an "about" link and steer users to pages that hold the theory that you used to make your Widget. Or, how about a "you choose the ending" (much like the children's book from not long ago): The user can select which version s/he wants, and the Widget will calculate to that end. I'm partial to the Zapotec prophecy of the Mayans: One aspect indicates Decembe…r 24, 2011, another December 23, 2012. there are various other dates that show up. I seem to recall 5 May 2012, but that's just one more date. How about adding a random number generator?More

Could be interesting with more explanation, but no need to blast him.
Besides he shares my name... hehe.
And anyway, everyone knows the world will end April 14, 2012 @ 11:11 AM Eastern so he's actually being optimistic. :)

Wow, what the heck, people?
Somehow I think Manuel was aware of the fact that he isn't Nostradamus when he submitted this to the gallery. It's just for fun. And Marc, you can't even figure out how to post a comment, but you think you do a better job of calculating the date of the end of the world?

Manuel: it's of course the topic of the widget which has annoyed some of us. Either because it has hit an unconscious fear - the end of a world is far more frightning than the end of our proper life, should it be strangely, either because it appeared irritating because beyond our comprehension which we assume to be natural as 1+1=2: emptiness as a concept hurts emotion.
OK. This is your first widget, and I understand the topic was more a pretext than an aim. Continue: I'm sure you'l…l get on another project and then, when pepople will say they like it, you'll be sure they are as sincere as they, as we are now! Do it, again!
