Euro Lightning Monitor

Displays (almost) real time lightning maps for most of western Europe. You can select between Strike points, Strike Density, and Storm tracking maps for the following countries:
Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Europe, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and United Kingdom.

Please note that the web site does not provide animations, the Widget has to build them a frame at a time at your selected refresh rate.

We have a city here in France called Tours. That's where Michel (myself) happens to live. Who cares? Well, I do. Why? Because France is among the countries served by Euro Lightning Monitor, and therefore has enabled me to check this widget in an interested and objective way. My conclusion? Striking!

Sorry about that Ross, it's a bit unfortunate that the German idea of the UK excludes Scotland. Try emailing the website owner that I grab the images from and point out this shortcoming to him?

Would be good but the Europe and United Kingdom maps miss out most of Scotland so it's no use to me :o(

I like this widget, I was thinking of making something similar myself, but this is better. I've developed a widget which animates the forecasted cape levels over europe for a 24 hour period for storm prediction. It's got a bug that needs sorting but if your interested in seeing it let me know.
