if u know how write JS then download converter widget, convert file and look for common.js under resources. On blitz site, get the properties for the image and then go into common.js and change base URL setting. Next amend the get_image function file parse structure so that it picks up the newer file naming convention blitz use. Also, you will need to change the image display W/H settings from 0.75 to 1 as the image W/H ratio has changed too. Re-convert back to flat file. Works for me once done above with new TOA service

When will this formal great widget be updated? If the Author doesnt do anything it should be deleted as useless from the database. Cant anybody contact the Author?

I've now found another widget which can use the URLs I mentioned in my earlier messages. It's called 'WebImages' and is also by Merlin. Its advantage over Image Display is that is dynamic and can update itself at whatever interval you choose. It will also store locations in its Quick List, enabling and easy switch from density to strikes.

I used the Vista one for some time - then it failed to connect. I tried the Yahoo one - same reslut. "Failed download" Useless.

My apologies, Peter, but I gave you the wrong name for the Image Display widget I use. It's credited to Harry Whitfield in its 'about' box, but you'll find it in a list of widgets by Merlin.
By the way, the URL "http://www.blitzortung.net/image_d_fr.png" will give Density images in Image Display for an area centred on France but which includes much of Britain and Ireland as well as the Netherlands and Germany. Changing the URL to "http://www.blitzortung.net/image_b…_fr.png" will give a Strikes image.
Incidentally, pasting the URL "http://www.sat24.com/image.ashx?type=slide&time=&index=1&sat=&country=eu" into Image Display preferences gives a nice visible satellite image of Europe. You'll probably need to play around with the size of the widget's window to get the best results.
