Displays (almost) real time lightning maps for most of western Europe. You can select between Strike points, Strike Density, and Storm tracking maps for the following countries:
Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Europe, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and United Kingdom.

Please note that the web site does not provide animations, the Widget has to build them a frame at a time at your selected refresh rate.

The Widget can be configured to alert you if there a number… of strikes within a given range of your location. The alerts can be visual and/or synthesised voice, optionally you can call an external program or script (with variables).

This Widget can be configured to work in English or French. Due to a lack of volunteers, much of the French version has been translated by Google, so it may be a bit comical!
