Eye Candy

Eye Candy is a simple Widget for periodically downloading a picture from the web. You can park Eye Candy at the top or bottom of your screen. It will periodically download an image from a URL that you specifysay a weather radar or a web cam.
Eye Candy keeps the image neatly out of sight until you want to refer to it. Just click on the candy to display the image, either full-size or scaled to the same width as the candy. Another click tucks the image away. Cli… More

Strange! Does your image source change image sizes? I can imagine that a varying image size might confuse the positioning logic.
To get Eye Candy working again, try closing the widget by holding down the Control key and selecting Eye Candy from the Konfabulator gear menu in the menu bar. Then delete the file ~/Library/Preferences/Konfabulator/Eye Candy.widget.plist.
After that you can restart Eye Candy from Konfabulator's Recent Widgets menu and Eye Candy should be reset to… More

Somehow it has disappeared into the out-of-bounds area on my desktop. when I select F9 to show all open files, it will slide in from the bottom of my desktop, but slide back out of sight when i click on it. it does not show up on Konspose. Thanks!

This version of Eye Candy is designed to download pictures that are always at the same URL. The image on the Astronomy Picture of the Day site seems to be updated to point to a new image URL every day. Perhaps a future version of Eye Candy could scan a web page and download the first image linked from the page.
