Can someone give me more details about the functionality of this widget?

could someone just provide me with some more details- im not completely sure what this widget is for? From what i can tell, if you are typing in a program or whatever, and your text comes out wrong (like shown, for instance, caps was on, you didn't know, so first letters are lower-cased, rest caps...etc)- do you copy & paste the text into the widget, then the widget fixes it, so you copy/paste it back into the program you were typing in? thanks in advance for any info =^._.^=
