funpeeps

Inspired by this cool tool, I decided to create a Widget that allows regular chatters to see how many chatters are online at funpeeps.com. It also shows the usernames of currently active chatters in a dropdown list. The list of chatters also includes information about the sub-room a chatter is in and whether he/she is a chat moderator. The 'About' dialog with copyright information is now also included. To visit the chat room, simply click on the funpeeps logo.

The widget now shows 2 numbers. "A+B peeps chatting now!"

A ... chatters in the main moderated chat room
B ... chatters in the unmoderated chat room

This change was implemented on the server, so you don't need to do anything to benefit from the chatter number information in the funpeeps chat widget.

The nice guy (me ;) did live in England a few years back - thanks for the compliment - the chat is doing well and growing - so come join to have some fun - we now also have a WebCam chat - free of course - and soon the widget will provide numbers on cam chatters as well - have fun! Steve

We now show 2 numbers of chatters in the widget. As we have added a new unmoderated chat room it was necessary to do that.

The beauty of the Konfabulator approach allowed us to do that without requiring an update to the widget itself.

New display format: "<number1>+<number2> peeps chatting now!"

<number1> ... number of chatters in the moderated rooms
<number2> ... number of chatters in the unmoderated rooms
