My opinion is prices are so high because companies have to pay for delivery, cost of the gas for themselves, and on top of that they jack up prices to cover all said and then some so their company doesn't go belly up. Plus they know we will pay no matter because life can not continue as is without cars. Not unless we were to go back to horse dran carrages. Could you see some one trying to go over a tall bridge. LOL

First of all there are a couple of reasons gas prices are high. 1. that age old policy from the 70's and 80's that we can not drill for oil in certain places that have an abundant amount of oil. 2. the high tax at the state and fedral level we pay for gas. 3. That theory of the ozone we are destroying which is not true. 4. the prices are high because the peiople that set the prices think we will run out so jack up the price and that will force a change at all levels. which is wrong More

Most of our trouble with gas comes from the competition with China and India for crude which they are consuming like a fat kid at a candy factory. For decades people have been against nuclear energy which could solve a huge percent of our energy problems especially northeastern heating costs. If we continue to rely on Saudi to keep us alive in OPEC then we will be in a real energy war, not a regime change war. Many of the reasons why the middle east is angry with the US stems from the PRIOR administration ripping them off for 8 years and delivering hollow promises.

but you can't blame him for high gas prices. He didn't jack up the prices, the oil companies did. We wouldn't be paying so much if we would have had a set fuel mileage cars could have a long time ago. No one cared because gas wasn't that expensive to them so they didn't see a need. Its americas own fault that gas is so high.

Every one Knows that gas was 1.46 when Bush came in and all he has done is up it to make a profit. Rummer has it his family are oil barons . They can lower gas if they want too ,but why do so they ate getting rich on us. They know we need it and have to have it. What next a tax on air?
