    It's not a low economy...

You will never convince me the economy is "bad" when so far this year, we have seen RECORD spending on computers, big-screen TV's, and video games, just to mention a few. We spent $500 million bucks on ONE stupid video game when it debuted...A GAME?!?! Last week we spent almost a Billion dollars going to the movies. So yeah, I can see where our economy is bad...

    Not going to work...

Those of you suggesting that we pause consumption for one day or one month are not thinking this thing through...let's assume it DOES result in lower prices for a day or two (because of the decreased demand.) However, what happens the next day...or month...when everyone needs to fill their tank up? Fuel is something that we are going to need EVENTUALLY...if you delay your need, you are simply shifting the demand variable to another day and making it much higher than average.

Nice thought, but it won't work...

Since part of the price of gas has to do with world supply and demand, we're not going to see many changes. I doubt if India and China, who are just starting to share the wealth, More
