Gmail Status

Gmail Status is a Konfabulator Widget that checks your unread Gmail messages. Clicking on the unread message count exposes a small message reader in which you can read one line summaries of your mail. Clicking on the envelope icon launches you to the Gmail website.

Some of the functionality of this widget didn't work for me initially. I got it to work by changing a line in gmail.js to be the following:

var url = "https://mail.google.com/mail/feed/atom";

It's nice that this widget uses Keychain. Curious though that after the trouble of doing that, that the retrieval of info from Gmail uses curl -- passing one's username/password as a command line option (so, the auth info would be visible via ps...).

I tried both at home & work to get this to work, but I just get a question mark and an envelope icon. Anybody get this to work in 10.4 Tiger? Thanks.

I Love It But, Please Make It Always Visible. It Keeps On dissapearing.

One of my favorite widgets....
however, it would be nice to have the option for it to always be visible. I don't like having them dissapear on me. lol. The whole keychain thing is awesome though.
