I love this clock. This and the iKonic widgets are the only two reasons I even use Yahoo widgets.
My favourite feature on both is that they're amazingly customizable. I have a quaint desktop designed to look like a Victorian room. You click on certain objects or pictures in the room to navigate and the clock is the highlight of the room. (I customized it by selecting no background, then photoshoping my own art neauveux clock, and applying that image to an iKon..the end result is a clock wi…th a look of my choosing, an amazing sound scheme, and the ablitiy to open a browser when I click on the edge.)
Slight problem though...
I had this installed on my old laptop without a hitch. Since installing Widgets 4 on my new machine, I can't get it to save any appearence changes. I heard this was a problem in Widgets 3, but understood that that was fixed. Also, It says I have fourteen instances of "Grandfather Clock widget helper" running. I even reinstalled Widgets More
I LOVE (reeeeely like) this Widget. I have it running on my main PC in the background all day. The rhytmic, delicate TICK TOCK TICK TOCK of a huge antique clock - and the quarter hour BING BONG and the hourly CHIMES - are great. I keeps me moving forward, the rhythm is un-distracting and I can follow time. Makes my humble attic feel like the LOBBY of a GRAND HOTEL! Thanx for designing this! Only thing to add - would be an alarm setting that said, in a British voice, "Your appointment's ready Sirrrrr (or Maaaam). <g>
