Haiku Generator v.x

Like its older brother (v4), the Haiku Generator v.x displays some random Japanese poetry on your Desktop to soothe your mind. But it will also stimulate your mind with the latest Asahi.com headlines and (hopefully) useful system information. And it does so on both Mac OS and Windows.

[On Windows, you will need to have support for East-Asian languages installed! (Control Panel > Languages)]

This is a beautiful widget, I love it. I wonder if anyone could help me tho. I've downloaded the Sword Kanji font, but I can't get it to display on the Generator's scroll down font list. Would anyone happen to know why, or how to display it? Thanks in advance.

great widget. i take japanese lessons and try to use it to display each lessons new kanjis. For example, use the 1st line to display the kanji, 2nd to display yomikata, 3rd to display meaning.
Problem is it generates the lines randomly... its that the way it should work?

looks great, but would be really cool - for those of us that don't speak the language - to have a mouseover reveal the meaning in english! 8-)

It seems that it rotates through a few different phrases, not that i can understand what it says, but i can read it. Perhaps get it to take random blocks headlines from a list in the website?
