Haiku Generator v.x

Like its older brother (v4), the Haiku Generator v.x displays some random Japanese poetry on your Desktop to soothe your mind. But it will also stimulate your mind with the latest Asahi.com headlines and (hopefully) useful system information. And it does so on both Mac OS and Windows.

[On Windows, you will need to have support for East-Asian languages installed! (Control Panel > Languages)]

Great widget! I don't suppose there is any way to get English translations of these haiku, is there?

Really beautiful - but on my install appears to have a problem with appearing on top of everything when the haiku changes, even if it's set to Konspose Only.

mine working just fine. not sure what are u guys talking about here. install the asian support for win xp. done. if you want extra font, dl it, then copy it to window's font folder, restart konfabulator, set it to use that font. done.

Renar, you seem to be the only one experiencing crashes, so I don't believe it's bad programming. Just tested it on a friend's XP/1.8.3 system, works fine there.
Please send me an email (widget's about box) if you're interested in troubleshooting this.

Widget crashes every time it change haiku. WinXP, Konfabulator 1.8.3.
Very good idea, very good look, but very bad programming.
