Its true that a 200 MB support package is a bit of a hefty requirement, but what can I do if Windows doesn't support that kinda stuff out of the box...? Once you got the widget up and running, please note the subtle messages that'll try to convert you to Mac OS... ;)))

well i am running on my pc, and for some reason almost all my fonts wont work. EVEN WITH THE EASTERN ASIAN ON. and i got lucky with Microsoft Sans Serif. wich wasn't a true type font.
and it works fine with that font.

People may be wrong in assuming I gave the Haiku widget a low rating. When making a comment, there is the option "Don't Rate" which is NOT equivalent to a "zero" rating.

I didn't actually give a rating at all - because I hadn't really gotten the chance to try it.

They are different.

Now, my original comment was to ask for support, which David kindly gave me.

Unfortunately for me, I run a fairly stripped down XP machine - and installing 200+ mb of lang…uage support files just so that I can run a 64K widget isn't something I'm likely to do. If and when I reinstall my OS, I'll throw it on one of my larger drives so that I've got more room for things like East Asian language support so that I can enjoy things like this.

Absolutely NO offense meant to the creator - the widget looks gorgeous and I'm sure it's a tasty addition to anyone's desk!

Looks beautiful on my W2k machine, though I do experience the same crash as Paul does. Thanks for the nice widget anyhow.

install "Haiku Generator v.x displaying some random Japanese poetry" but haven't installed support for East-Asian languages and wonder why it wouldn't work; worst of all, give low rating although it's not a fault of the widget (but their own).
