Hurricane Monitor
When tropical storms and hurricanes are in the region, it's nice to have the forecasts and satellite images present on the desktop. Click on the miniature images for a large view (static or loops, many choices). Minimal desktop use when no storms threaten.
I rewrote NOAA Hurricane 2006 to improve the interface, decrease the desktop size, and improve the responsiveness (thanks for your suggestions).

ChrisI live in the area that was directly hit by Hurricane Ike. I used the former version of this widget to follow all the updates on the storm. I was disappointed when the widget wouldn't work this season, but am much relieved when I found the update. Great widget to have if you live in the Coastal areas.
