Just launch this Widget and your iChat tells people what music you're currently listening to. Your icon becomes the album artwork (taken from iTunes) and your away message becomes the song name and artist!
Ok, thank you for writing this widget, I totally dig it. That said, it's a shame some of the functionality is sketchy, like a lot of other guys have said, I am having problems with not being able to restart the widget when it freezes, and also the fact that it will get stuck on a song. I have album art for nearly all of my songs, so I know that that isn't really the problem. I was however thinking that maybe when a song plays that doesn't have album art maybe that is where the w…idget gets mussed up. It might be tripping over the code and that might be where it bogs up. How I wish I knew xml oh well, thanks for writing the widget I use it everyday.More

Nice widget, but I probably won't use it because it's worthless for classical music! The album frequently needs to be displayed alongside the track title (otherwise the track title alone makes no sense, e.g. "Op 46 - 6 in Dmaj - Allegretto"). It would be great if you could allow formatting the message to include album, etc. For instance, I'd like to specify "%album% - %title% (%artist%)". That would make this widget perfect!! Thanks.

I installed this and it wouldn't shut down! Every way I would try to shut it down resulted in it opening iChat and iTunes after starting itself back up again! What gives???

Great widget, the only problem I have is that I am unable to use my own picture or message while using it. In other words it switches back to the song name or artwork after I try to use my custom message. It would be great if I was able to use my own picture while ichat displays the name of the song I'm playing or if I was able to use my own message while the artwork was my buddy icon.

I like this alot...but there should be an easier way to shut it down. Also, it seems to occasionally freeze on one album, then refuse to switch.
