ImageView

by Merlin

ImageView is a simple image viewer. An image dragged onto the Widget's window is displayed. ImageView can spawn copies of itself, so that several images can be viewed at the same time. When ImageView is restarted, it can restart the spawned Widgets, so that they can display their respective images. Each copy (spawn) of ImageView can also provide a slide-show using images from nominated folders.

    Hi again, another suggestion:
Would it be possible to have the wrench button open up the current image in a program of the user's choice (as set in the preferences)? Alt-wrench could be made to do the delete function.

I rarely delete images, but often want to see them bigger (see my comment below about magnifier not working when the image is constrained in size) and/or edit them, and when an interesting image pops up I'd like to be able to open it up in the Gimp or XNView (or whatever More

Hi Harry, Ricky - great widget! Love it!

One suggestion - would it be possible to have an option for the magnifier to not be bound by the max width/height restriction? I like to have an ImageView instance on the desktop but small - 320x240-ish - and I'd like to be able to click the magnifier button and have it enlarge an image if I want to see it bigger (or normal size). But that doesn't seem to work for me unless I set the max width/height to 0.

Thanks again for a great widget,

    Rob

orb9220: Our WebImages widget does some of those things - not quite as ambitiously as you describe! It can however initiate QuickTime Player, RealPlayer or Windows Media Player to display video and sound streams, and it can save downloaded files as it displays them.

orb9220: I've done "one image back" (in random mode) and "delete current slide" for you in version 1.7.4, which should appear soon.

Get It!
