Info URL

Displays a simple piece of information from a specified URL at a specified interval. The idea is that you create a web page yourself which feeds this Widget with information, and when the URL is called, whatever the URL returns is displayed in a slide-out information bar.

Very cool, I was about to create this and stumbled upon it. A cool thing would to be able to set a number of rows to display and have it scroll vertically instead of horizontally. -MV

It's not the content of your page which is the problem, it's where the page is located and linked from. You have to publish your page to a location on the web, or on a web server running on your local machine, and enter the URL of that page, like http://www.mysite.com/mypage.asp or http://localhost/mypage.asp if it's running locally. The Widget validates proper URL syntax to make sure you don't type any old meaningless address which would cause unpredictable results.

I have created a very simple asp page, and when I point by web browser to my local address it operated correctly, but if I place the same url in info url I get the message that the url is invalid. Here is a sample of my code:

Any ideas appretiated.
