This is a pretty cool widget, I just have one problem. I want the widget to display at the top of my screen, but it covers the close button for Safari. Does anyone know how to move Informer over so that I can still Close, Minimize and Expand Safari?

Great widget. Have been using it for several years with almost no problem with it. I don't know the answer to the problems the guys here have been having with the Informer, but I just can say keep on trying different workarounds, e.g. closing and opening the widget, reinstalling it, or even reinstalling the widget engine itself. The interesting thing for me is that yesterday I noticed that Yahoo widget engine didn't seem to load (apparently) and my clicking on the program from the Starts… menu was of no use too; but the cute thing was that the Informer was still down there as ever working well and accompanying me in my jobs like a faithful comrade. By the way, I came here to download and install the engine once again after quite a long time, when I saw Yahoo saying your engine is already up-to-date. But I kept on reinstalling the engine, and now it's back there in the tray, of which I only use the Weather widget. The main reason that I've kept on using Yahoo widget engine is that I love the Informer. More

The author hasn't modified this widget for more than two and a half years already - do you seriously believe that he is going to "fix" anything? It should be clear by now that most widgets have become "abandonware"...

Incidentally, this particular widget works just fine on my machine. Which makes me think that it is not the widget itself that is broken but one of the sensors (that I'm not running). Try turning them off one by one and see which one is causing the problem.

Yes, same problem as James (Aug 22). Been running unchanged for many years. Now it throws this error at start up. Real shame as it's a brilliant tool and I rely on it heavily. A plea to the author...ignore the requests for enhancements. Please just fix it.
