This Widget monitors your system resources (CPU usage, disk usage, memory usage, swap usage, system uptime, WiFi, battery life, Recycle Bin/Trash), Internet resources (RSS feeds, IMAP4/POP3 MailBoxes and Gmail Inbox), etc., and displays it on your desktop.

You can set up multiple sensors (useful for multiple Gmail accounts or RSS feeds) too!

I've used this widget for 11 months - it always works, it tells me everything I want to know about my puter, and gives me a handy place to put my recycle bin, usb disconnect, calendar and much more. Best little download I ever did!

I have adapted this gadget so quickly that now I cant imagine my desktop without it. Unfortunately there is a problem about fixing the position of the bar, (as other users mentioned) but I overcame it by setting the viewing priority of the dock window to "normal" and unchecking the "resize the desktop" preference. Also I set a keyboard shortcut (ctrl+A) to bring the informer dock to front. It became a really swift way of exploring and getting info.

It seems that it's stuck displaying whatever information was on it right before it went into hibernation. As far as I know, the only solution is to close and reopen Informer. Not cool if I have to do that every time...

Because it needs the "dock" setting enabled, it does not work correctly when exiting a full screen application like a game. I am pretty sure the problem lies within the dock code because it docks itself its height downward ( i have it docked on top ) and will not reset unless I lock the computer (or switch user on XP; I have Win7).
The other thing thats annoying is when I drag and drop icons onto the dock to make it a shortcut, some applications wont display their icon sometimes. I a More
