Could you combine it with a fortune cookie program?

Evolve2K, glad you also will enjoy this! I meant for this to be kept very simple. I usually keep mine placed in the upper-right-hand corner of my screen with no backdrop at all. But, I provided the backdrop in case someone has a very complex background that wouldn't show text very well. I was also wanting it to have rounded-edges, but wasn't certain how to do that without making things very complicated, I have some ideas though. Maybe the next version!

Great tool, where you want to make your own list of 'quotes' and have them keep popping up on you.

(Before this is was looking at making each quote a .jpg and running one of the image viewers!)

The only enhancement I'd like to see is that you round the edges of your window to make it look better, and reflect the style of other widgets generally.

I am using "manual" line-breaks because many of the quotes I am using have contextually-natural line breaks in them: like poetry, many quotes have a certain cadence that should be respected.

However, I will note that some form of automatic wrapping is desirable for the next release!

I like it! When do you plan to support line wrap? Using an asterix as you suggest is not practical.
