iPod Video Converter
Using VLC (http://videolan.org) seems to be the fastest and best way to convert video files to an iPod Video-compatible format.
The only thing this Widget does is call VLC with right parameters to convert your video file. After entering the paths to VLC and the output folder in the preferences, just drop any video file on the Widget and conversion is started. That's it!
Of course, VLC has to be installed to make the Widget work. ;-)

MichaelI downloaded it, put the Widget Accessory in Internet Plug-ins and "located" the "path" to my VLC program on my Mac (Os 10.5 - By the way, why does it say locate "VLC.exe" if its a Mac program...?) as well as the output destination, but all it does when I drop a file onto it (which I tried with several different file types) is just blink for a spilt second and thats it. I looks like a nifty and simple program, so I'd like yo keep it. Please Help...

BradyThis widget is a piece of crap do not download it. The stuff you have to download to make it work is crap also. It is way more trouble than it is worth.

DJall you have to do is click the circle thingy on the widget thingy on the desktop then it tells you for the vlc and then u click the video you want and then it plays the video and it starts converting
